Review Movie of Rurouni Kenshin

Today, Fie will share about review movie with title Rurouni Kenshin. This review is my english duty in grade XII IPS 1. When I wrote this review, I also got some main point from another source, and I mix it, with main points in my mind, and explain it into summary.

Rurouni Kenshin

This movie based on the popular manga series "Rurouni Kenshin" that written by Watsuki Nobuhiro and directed by Keishi Ohtomo. With duration 134 minutes, spectators asked to go to 19th century in the ended of Shogunate and installed of Meiji government in Japan. The genre of this movie is action and the story talk about samurai.

Kenshin Himura or Himura Battousai was known as assasin during the war ended of Shogunate and installed of Meiji government. He had killed many people in the war and being a famous assasin. However, after the war ended, he has promises to don't kill anyone again, and decides to wander from one place to another place.

After 10 years, the name of battousai rise again because some trouble happened by someone who claims as him. Then, Kenshin meets Kaoru Kamiya. Her father opened the Kamiya Kasshin-ryu dojo , a kendo school. And after he passed away, Kaoru continued the school. But, because murdered scandal by fake battousai, the name of that school being tainted.

One day, Kanryu Takeda, boss of gangsters who makes opium, wants to take Kaoru's dojo. He asks his soldiers to go there. But, the soldiers make the dojo broken. Kenshin comes and helps Kaoru fixs Kanryu's soldiers.

Because of that, Kaoru asks Kenshin to stay in dojo. There, Kenshin makes a friend with Sanosuke Sagara, the street fighter, and Megumi Takani, a doctor and Kanryu's opium maker that escapes and joins with them to damage Kanryu.

The act of Takeru Sato (Kenshin Himura) is great. He can play his sword like a real samurai. In the other hand, this movie supported by suitable clothes and equipment with the era, bloods, sound effect, great setting, and etc. But, in some part of this movie there are scene of murder, fight, and there are quite a lot of bloodshed in the battle. Maybe it is harrowing for some people.

This movie isn’t suitable for children, because there are a scene of massacre. But, in this movie, we can learn that life in the bad way can’t bring a calmly. And it tells us that someone who in the past had a bad manner, can changes into good people. So, why don’t we give they second chance? They can change into good people with their true effort.
